Fiscal Sponsorship

Fiscal sponsorship is a strategic partnership between a nonprofit organization such as the Manitou Springs Community Foundation (fiscal sponsor) and a project or organization that does not yet have its own tax-exempt status (the project). MSCF provides administrative support, accounting services, and general guidance to the project, allowing it to raise funds and operate as a non-profit organization while maintaining its own identity and mission.

The Foundation was the Fiscal Sponsor for the 100 Year Anniversary AdAmAn Club Celebration

It all started in 1922 when five Colorado Springs men decided, because average social events related to the New Year holiday consisted of somewhat boring parties and dances, they would venture to do something unique, a feat that no one had done before. They would climb Pikes Peak on New Year’s Eve.

This rich tradition was certainly something worth celebrating in a most impressive way. The 2022 fireworks display from the top of Pikes Peak is sure to make the “frozen five” proud.
